The Timoteo Cruz Memorial Scholarship Foundation is established in memory of Timoteo “Timmy” Cruz, a devoted father, hero, and beloved member of his community. Timmy tragically lost his life at the young age of 27 while heroically intervening in a dangerous situation outside a bar in Parma, Ohio. His bravery and selflessness not only reflected his character but also saved numerous lives that night.

Timmy was a dedicated corrections officer with the Cuyahoga County Jail, known for his compassionate approach to his work, his ability to resolve conflicts, and his commitment to helping those in need. He was deeply respected by his co-workers and loved by his large family, including his young son Levi, his lifelong girlfriend, and his ten siblings.

This foundation aims to continue Timmy’s legacy by providing scholarships to deserving individuals who embody his spirit of community service, bravery, and dedication to helping others. Our goal is to support those who aspire to make a positive impact in their communities, much like Timmy did throughout his life.
