The Timoteo Cruz Memorial Scholarship Foundation is established in memory of Timoteo “Timmy” Cruz, a devoted father, hero, and beloved member of his community. Timmy tragically lost his life at the young age of 27 while heroically intervening in a dangerous situation outside a bar in Parma, Ohio. His bravery and selflessness not only reflected his character but also saved numerous lives that night.

The Timoteo Cruz Memorial Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Timoteo Cruz, a hero who sacrificed his life to protect others, by empowering the next generation of leaders. Our mission is to support and inspire students who demonstrate a commitment to community service, bravery, and leadership—values that Timoteo exemplified throughout his life. Through scholarships, mentorship, and community engagement programs, we aim to remove financial barriers to education for those who aspire to make a positive impact in their communities. In fostering these future leaders, we not only celebrate Timoteo's life and heroism but also perpetuate a cycle of kindness, courage, and community support that can transform lives and societies.

The Timoteo Cruz Memorial Scholarship Foundation is established in memory of Timoteo “Timmy” Cruz, a devoted father, hero, and beloved member of his community. Timmy tragically lost his life at the young age of 27 while heroically intervening in a dangerous situation outside a bar in Parma, Ohio. His bravery and selflessness not only reflected his character but also saved numerous lives that night.
Timmy was a dedicated corrections officer with the Cuyahoga County Jail, known for his compassionate approach to his work, his ability to resolve conflicts, and his commitment to helping those in need. He was deeply respected by his co-workers and loved by his large family, including his young son Levi, his lifelong girlfriend, and his ten siblings.
